Work – Welsh Industrial Heritage Linocut Print

Work is an original, 100mm x 100mm linocut print that journeys deep into the heart of South Wales’ industrial history.

Part of a triptych accepted into the Mini Print Cymru | Wales exhibition (2025–2026), this piece captures the transition between our private selves and our working lives.

Work takes the viewer underground, depicting three miners deep in the darkness of the earth.

For generations, men and boys in South Wales descended into the mines each day, facing long hours, hard graft, and the ever-present threat of disaster.

While our workplaces may look different now, the experience of stepping into the working day, with its challenges and its demands is something that still connects us.

Selected for Mini Print Cymru | Wales, showing at the Mission Gallery (Swansea) and Mostyn Gallery (Llandudno) through 2026.
