Miner No.8 – Welsh Industrial Heritage Linocut Print Copy

This series helps me develop styles for larger prints whilst also exploring a growing collection of ghosts, faces and personalities.

I wanted to capture a print brother/cousin to my “Black Cap” painting. Villages were made up of close family networks. Often you’d find out that you were a cousin of a cousin of an aunt of a nephew.

“Nigel over there is your second cousin twice removed”. We smiled and nodded on the high street. Not sure we ever talked.
